A night Celebrating Vocations in the Archdiocese of Baltimore
Last Tuesday night was a truly special evening, and we wanted to take a moment to reflect on it with you. Whether you were able to join us or were with us in spirit, your support and prayers were deeply felt by everyone present. It was a night filled with inspiration, gratitude, and the powerful reminder of the importance of vocations in the Archdiocese of Baltimore.
Archbishop Lori spoke from the heart about how the prayers and generosity of this community are helping to reignite a culture of vocations. He shared how he begins and ends each day praying for vocations, saying:
“We need young, faithful, joyful priests to keep the Archdiocese of Baltimore vibrant. And you, through your prayers and support, are helping to build a future full of hope.”
The sense of unity and shared mission in the room was overwhelming.
Father Roth added his own inspiring words, telling the story of two seminarians who stopped to help a stranded driver. They not only provided practical assistance but also prayed with her as they waited for help. Stories like this remind us that these young men are already embodying the spirit of service, and it’s because of supporters like you that they can continue their journey.
One of the highlights of the evening was hearing from Ryan, a second-year seminarian. His personal testimony touched all of us as he shared his journey of discernment:
“The Lord promised to rebuild me in my brokenness, and He is calling me to help rebuild His Church—not by fixing problems, but by bringing His love to every soul in need.”
Ryan’s story is just one of many, and it’s because of your generosity that these stories of transformation and service are made possible.
As Bishop Parker reminded us, each seminarian’s path is unique, but they all share one thing in common—a resounding “yes” to God’s call.
“There are 59 stories here tonight, each one a unique ‘yes’ to God. Through your support, you are a part of these stories, helping to build the future of our Church.”
Whether you were with us in person on Tuesday night or you’ve been supporting us from afar, please know how grateful we are for you. Your generosity and prayers are the foundation on which these vocations are built. Thank you for believing in this mission and for helping us shape a future full of hope and faith.
