Mark your calendars for May 3, 2025, as we celebrate an extraordinary evening filled with inspiration, joy, and community at the Shine the Light Gala. This year, we’re taking things up a notch with a fresh venue at the Marriott Owings Mills Metro Centre and a reimagined experience that promises to make it our best gala yet!

A Night to Inspire and Celebrate

This black-tie invited event kicks off with a moving program featuring powerful stories from Catholic school students, celebrating the transformative impact of Catholic education in our community. You’ll enjoy a full, elegant meal, a lineup of entertainment, and the warm company of Archbishop Lori, Chancellor of Education Greg Farno, and dedicated supporters from across Maryland.

But that’s just the beginning! We’re doubling down on the fun with an after-party you won’t want to miss. Get ready to hit the dance floor with a live DJ, enjoy a custom-crafted signature drink, and indulge in a spread of decadent desserts. This year’s Shine the Light Gala is designed to go beyond the usual gala experience and make it a night you’ll remember well beyond the last song!

Supporting Catholic Education

The Shine the Light Gala isn't just a celebration – it’s a mission-driven event aimed at raising over $1 million to provide tuition assistance for students attending Archdiocese of Baltimore Catholic schools. We believe we can make history with your help!

How to Get Involved

We’re inviting our parishes, schools, and local businesses to partner with us in making this goal a reality.

Here’s why your parish should consider sponsoring the gala:

  1. Recognize and Thank Your Parish’s Supporters: Sponsoring the gala provides a meaningful way to honor top donors by inviting them to an event that celebrates their impact and highlights the success of Catholic education.

  2. Strengthen Community Ties: Attending the gala alongside Archbishop Lori and other Catholic leaders fosters a sense of unity and commitment to the Church’s mission, reinforcing relationships within the community.

  3. Inspire Further Giving: Sponsoring this event allows you to bring key parish supporters closer to the impact of their generosity, potentially inspiring future giving that supports both local and archdiocesan initiatives.

  4. Highlight Your Parish’s Commitment to Catholic Education: With your parish name displayed as a sponsor, you visibly demonstrate a dedication to Catholic education and tuition assistance, showcasing a commitment to values shared by many parishioners.
